Volleyball Recap: Jaselle Mills and MJ Mauinatu Secure Win for Dixie

The Dixie Flyers made easy work of the Ogden Tigers on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Leading Dixie to victory were MJ Mauinatu and Jaselle Mills. Mauinatu had nine digs and two aces, while Mills had 14 digs and two assists. Mauinatu has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Dixie was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive matches.

Dixie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Ogden, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Dixie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Cottonwood on the 20th. As for Ogden, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hurricane on the 20th.
