Softball Recap: Chippewa Valley Comes Up Short at Home Against Marysville

Chippewa Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 11-5 to the Marysville Vikings on Tuesday. If the Big Reds were looking for revenge after losing 10-6 to the Vikings when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Miley Austin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Anna Kadrovach was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

While Chippewa Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
