Volleyball Game Preview: Lejeune Devilpups vs. East Carteret Mariners

Lejeune is 0-10 against East Carteret since January of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Devilpups will host the Mariners at 6:00 p.m. Lejeune is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Lejeune barely beat Jones the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Devilpups put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 28, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Lejeune walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, East Carteret hadn't done well against Northside - Pinetown recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mariners came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 23-25, 25-16.

The win got East Carteret back to even at 9-9. As for Lejeune, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
