Baseball Recap: Steilacoom Extends Winning Streak to Three

Steilacoom waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Lakes Lancers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Keanan Ogilvie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Ogilvie was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Greyson Garza, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bud Castaneda, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Steilacoom now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lakes, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steilacoom will square off against Bethel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakes, they will challenge North Thurston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
