Basketball Game Preview: St. Patrick's Irish vs. Kimball Longhorns

The St. Patrick's Irish will venture away from home to take on the Kimball Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Patrick's will be strutting in after a victory while Kimball will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, St. Patrick's was able to grind out a solid win over Hershey, taking the game 60-53. Given the Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Panthers are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Kimball unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-48 to Bridgeport.

St. Patrick's is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Kimball, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

St. Patrick's and Kimball were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting on Friday, but St. Patrick's came up empty-handed after a 50-49 defeat. Can St. Patrick's avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
