Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Has No Trouble Against Wilson Area

Notre Dame-Green Pond lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Wilson Area, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Crusaders blew past the Warriors 15-5 on Wednesday. Considering the Crusaders have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Notre Dame-Green Pond got a massive performance out of Natalie Lilly, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave Lilly a new career-high. Addison Ryan was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Notre Dame-Green Pond was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's record is now 12-7. As for Wilson Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
