Pocatello is a perfect 6-0 against Hillcrest since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Thunder will take on the Knights at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Pocatello has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Pocatello is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Blackfoot, who was ranked seventh at the time (Pocatello was ranked fifth). The Thunder had just enough and edged out the Broncos 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kate Jolley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest was not the first on the board last Wednesday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Idaho Falls.

Pocatello's record now sits at 9-4. As for Hillcrest, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Pocatello came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillcrest in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
