Soccer Game Preview: Sunnyside vs. San Luis

Sunnyside is on a four-game streak of home losses, San Luis a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Sunnyside Blue Devils will welcome the San Luis Sidewinders at 5:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Sunnyside's offense. They fell just short of Rincon/University by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Blue Devils haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, San Luis also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Cibola on Friday, falling 5-0.

San Luis' loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Sunnyside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Sunnyside beat San Luis by a goal when the teams last played back in January of 2018, winning 2-1. Will Sunnyside repeat their success, or does San Luis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
