With a playoff win on the line, Mondovi rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Auburndale Apaches 6-5. The win was familiar territory for the Buffaloes, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

Mondovi's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Auburndale, they moved to 15-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Mondovi nor the Apaches have any future games scheduled.
