Basketball Recap: Irene/Wakonda Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Irene/Wakonda Eagles were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-60 to Andes Central/Dakota Christian. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Irene/Wakonda now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Irene/Wakonda and Avon will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Andes Central/Dakota Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centerville at 7:45 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
