Churchill County came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 55-22 victory over the Sage Ridge Scorpions. Given the Greenwave's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Scorpions are ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Churchill County pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points per game. As for Sage Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
