Baseball Recap: Denton Takes a Loss

Denton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Argyle Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 last Wednesday.

Denton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phoenix Oliver, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Denton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14-2. As for Argyle, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Denton will take on Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Argyle, they will challenge Ryan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
