Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Charlee Phillips and Avalynn Johnson Lead Trinity to Victory + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Trinity, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the North Moore Mustangs on Monday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Trinity had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-17.

Leading Trinity to victory were Avalynn Johnson and Charlee Phillips. Johnson had 28 assists and seven digs, while Phillips had 16 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Johnson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Trinity's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for North Moore, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will challenge Asheboro at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Comets will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. After both having extra time off, North Moore and Central Carolina Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
