Soccer Recap: Vidalia Comes Up Short

Vidalia lost against Southeast Bulloch back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians came up short against the Yellow Jackets, falling 9-2. While losing is never fun, Vidalia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Southeast Bulloch are ranked 118th).

Giselle Garcia and Gabby Barton scored both of Vidalia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Vidalia has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Southeast Bulloch, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Vidalia is taking a road trip to take on Swainsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Swainsboro will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Vidalia surely won't give up without a fight. Southeast Bulloch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
