Softball Recap: Beaver Dam Comes Up Short

If Beaver Dam was riding high fresh off their 27-9 takedown of Beatty last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Diamondback lost 21-10 to the Indian Springs Thunderbirds on Friday. The Diamondback were not able to make up for their defeat to the Thunderbirds from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Madison Garcia was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Crissy Medina, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Beaver Dam's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-7. As for Indian Springs, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Thunderbirds beat Beaver Dam by a score of 15-2 later that day.
