Canyon Springs proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by four) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eldorado Firehawks 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Canyon Springs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Alonso Gutierrez and Matthew Martinez scored both of Canyon Springs' goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Canyon Springs' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Eldorado, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Canyon Springs will head out on the road to challenge Sierra Vista at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Eldorado, they will be playing at home against Western at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
