Softball Recap: Sweetwater's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Sweetwater has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.86 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Morse Tigers, falling 10-2. The contest marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Sweetwater saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Abarca, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Alyssa Contreras also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Sweetwater's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2-1. As for Morse, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Sweetwater will square off against Montgomery at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morse, they will face off against Francis Parker at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
