Basketball Recap: Bassick Comes Up Short

Bassick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Masuk Panthers 78-51. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Bassick's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Masuk, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Bassick will venture away from home to challenge Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Masuk, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Masuk Panthers face off against the Bethel Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Masuk knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Bethel likes a good challenge.
