Baseball Recap: San Ramon Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for San Ramon Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs on Saturday as the San Ramon Valley Wolves made off with an 11-3 win. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 9-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bryce Monte looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, TJ Adlman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Mitch Nelson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

San Ramon Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Archbishop Mitty, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, San Ramon Valley will head out to face off against College Park at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archbishop Mitty, they will be taking part in a tournament against Christopher at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
