Basketball Recap: Schoharie Takes a Loss

Schoharie lost against Berne-Knox-Westerlo back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Schoharie Storm were outmatched by the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs and fell 71-24. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 20th).

This is the second loss in a row for Schoharie and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Schoharie has already played their next match (against Middleburgh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Berne-Knox-Westerlo and Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Berne-Knox-Westerlo's favor as the squad sits on 19 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
