Baseball Recap: Verden Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Verden won against Drumright on Tuesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Tigers beat the Tornadoes by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 on Tuesday.

The victory made it two in a row for Verden and bumps their season record up to 17-12. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Drumright, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-12.

Verden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 loss against Caddo on the 29th. Hopefully Drumright paid attention to the Tigers' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Tigers on Thursday.
