Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. Pompano Beach

The Northeast Hurricanes will face off against the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Northeast is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Northeast who was credited with the win. Northeast got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to Suncoast's six. The Hurricanes' winning goal came courtesy of Ethan Ramirez.

Pompano Beach is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Dreyfoos School of the Arts a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Golden Tornadoes needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Northeast now has a winning record of 8-7-3. As for Pompano Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11-1.

Northeast might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Pompano Beach in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Northeast avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
