Basketball Game Preview: Morton/White Pass Timberwolves vs. Napavine Tigers

The Morton/White Pass Timberwolves will head out on the road to square off against the Napavine Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Morton/White Pass has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Napavine will arrive with three straight victories.

Morton/White Pass is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 75-68 to Kalama on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Chinooks are ranked 130th).

Meanwhile, couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 70-35 stomp they got against Klahowya. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 35 points or more this season.

Napavine's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.1 points. As for Morton/White Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Morton/White Pass was taken down by Napavine 90-38 in their previous matchup back in February. Thankfully for Morton/White Pass, James Grose (who went 14 for 23 on his way to 36 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists) won't be suiting up this time.
