Soccer Game Preview: Red Mountain vs. Queen Creek

The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will challenge the Queen Creek Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red Mountain's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Red Mountain's offense. They lost 5-0 to Liberty on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Queen Creek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They beat Skyline by a goal, winning 2-1. Even though the Bulldogs got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Drew Bohannon was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Ray Palacios and Nico Quinones scored both of Queen Creek's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Red Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Queen Creek, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Red Mountain skirted past Queen Creek 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Red Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Queen Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
