Basketball Recap: Jamestown's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Jamestown had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 39-38 win over the Poquoson Islanders. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 54-49 victory the Islanders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Jamestown's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Poquoson, their defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Jamestown will head out to square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poquoson, they will be playing at home against York at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Poquoson is facing York at the right time seeing as York is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
