Recap: Campbell Spartans vs. Seaforth Hawks
On Thursday, Campbell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over Seaforth. The win was all the more spectacular given Campbell's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 77th in Georgia, while Seaforth is ranked 14th in North Carolina).
Campbell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Suttle, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniya Binion, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Seaforth still got an impressive performance from Gabby White , who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. White has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Campbell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Seaforth, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Campbell and South Pointe will face off at 12:15 p.m. on December 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
