Softball Recap: Auburn Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Auburn walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Enterprise Wildcats a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Enterprise's batters probably weren't too happy with Lily Brewer, who pitched a no hitter and racked up seven Ks (she gave up two walks). Brewer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Auburn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Harris, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Auburn's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 27-17. As for Enterprise, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-8.

As of now, neither Auburn nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
