Football Game Preview: Osceola Kowboys vs. Apopka Blue Darters + How To Watch

The Osceola Kowboys will face off against the Apopka Blue Darters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

While Osceola's win against Viera wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Kowboys sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-10 victory over the Hawks on Friday. The Kowboys haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Osceola's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alijah Jenkins, who rushed for 95 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and one TD. Another back making a difference was Jeffrey Sinophat, who rushed for 146 yards on only 15 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Osceola was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Osceola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Janari Lofton.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Apopka's offense. They took a blow against West Orange back in September, falling 51-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 3, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Osceola's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Apopka, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Osceola beat Apopka 14-6 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Kowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Darters turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
