Baseball Recap: Bonita Vista Comes Up Short

Bonita Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Patrick Henry Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 back in March.

Bonita Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ADRIAN FIGUEROA, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bonita Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Patrick Henry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonita Vista will welcome Mira Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Marauders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Patrick Henry, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against San Pasqual at 4:00 p.m. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
