Basketball Recap: Belton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belton). They blew past the Chrisman Bears, posting a 55-20 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Belton's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-11. As for Chrisman, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Belton will be playing in front of their home fans against Ruskin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Belton is on a five-game streak of home losses, Ruskin a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change. Chrisman has already played their next game, a 51-30 loss against Raytown South on the 21st.
