Baseball Game Preview: Broaddus Bulldogs vs. Martinsville Pirates

The Broaddus Bulldogs will take on the Martinsville Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Broaddus' offense. They came up short against Centerville on Thursday, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Broaddus hasn't been shut out since back in February.

Meanwhile, Martinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch back in March as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to Centerville. The match marked the first time this season in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Martinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Broaddus, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

Broaddus took their win against Martinsville in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 22-12 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
