The matchup between Fletcher and Sandalwood on Wednesday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Fletcher Senators blew past the Sandalwood Saints 17-6. With that win, the Senators brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Ava Lowman, who scored four runs while going 4-for-5. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Rodriguez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Lowman wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Fletcher kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. Fletcher is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory (which was Fletcher's third in a row) raised their record to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Sandalwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fletcher will host Nease at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fletcher will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. Sandalwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fletcher at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
