Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Mt. Olive

Mt. Olive hadn't done well against East Alton-Wood River recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Oilers by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Oilers, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Mt. Olive easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.

The victory (which was Mt. Olive's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-6. As for East Alton-Wood River, they dropped their record down to 2-16-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mt. Olive wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Pawnee on the 25th. As for East Alton-Wood River, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Breese Central on the 25th.
