Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southfield Christian). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Canton Preparatory Chargers on Friday, sneaking past 40-38. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Southfield Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Canton Preparatory, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southfield Christian will venture away from home to challenge Whitmore Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitmore Lake will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Southfield Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canton Preparatory, they will head out on the road to face off against Center Line Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
