Volleyball Recap: Sterling Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Sterling had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Freeport Pretzels on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Warriors.

Sterling easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 19-15. As for Freeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season.

Sterling will be playing in front of their home fans against Morris at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Freeport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
