Basketball Recap: Hackensack Comes Up Short

Hackensack lost to Ridgewood back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comets were beaten by the Maroons 57-21. The contest marked the Comets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Hackensack and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Ridgewood, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hackensack will take on Passaic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridgewood, they will challenge Northern Highlands at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Maroons will be up against the Highlanders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.57 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
