Volleyball Recap: Maryville Spoofhounds vs. Chillicothe Hornets
Maryville lost against Chillicothe last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Maryville Spoofhounds fell just short of the Chillicothe Hornets by a score of 3-2. The Spoofhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Maryville took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-18, 15-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.
Despite the loss, Maryville still got an impressive performance from Jalea Price, who had 32 digs. Price is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Maryville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chillicothe only served three.
Maryville's record is now 14-13. As for Chillicothe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.
As of now, neither Maryville nor Chillicothe have any future games scheduled.
