Basketball Recap: Silverado Takes a Loss

Silverado lost against Foothill back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Silverado Skyhawks took a 65-50 bruising from the Foothill Falcons.

Despite the loss, Silverado saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Denali Connolly posted 18 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Connolly has scored all season. Kayden Goss was another key player, putting up ten points.

It was another big night for Dejon Townsend, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds for Foothill. Townsend has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Packer Kelley, who had nine points.

Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Foothill, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Silverado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-50 win against Faith Lutheran on the 7th. As for Foothill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-53 loss against San Joaquin Memorial on the 7th.
