Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Hope Beats Mansfield for Their Third Straight Win

Pleasant Hope waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Mansfield Lions by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pleasant Hope can attribute much of their success to Loraine Arciniegas, who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Arciniegas has posted over her last six contests. Lily Lambeth also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Pleasant Hope was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Pleasant Hope's record is now 6-4-3. As for Mansfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Pleasant Hope has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Classical on the 13th. As for Mansfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Cabool on the 15th.
