Softball Recap: Falcon Falcons vs. Vista Ridge Wolves
After flying high against Sand Creek last Thursday, Falcon came back down to earth. The Falcon Falcons fell just short of the Vista Ridge Wolves by a score of 10-9 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.
Madeley White made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Allen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Falcon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Vista Ridge, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falcon will host The Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Classical Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Falcon likes a good challenge. As for Vista Ridge, they will welcome Pueblo West at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
