Baseball Recap: Deerfield Comes Up Short

Deerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Glenbrook North Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-3 loss on Tuesday.

Deerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Glenbrook North, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-12.

Coincidentally, Deerfield and Glenbrook North will both be playing Mundelein the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
