Chaparral had won seven straight road games dating back to last season and Zoey Fink did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Wolverines strolled past the ThunderRidge Grizzlies with points to spare, taking the game 33-18 thanks in part to Fink, who threw for 294 yards and five TDs while completing 77.5% of her passes. Fink is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

One reason for the win was Chaparral's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Molly McWilliams was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four herself.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for ThunderRidge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will venture away from home to face off against Arapahoe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for ThunderRidge, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Mountain Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Grizzlies 8, the Golden Eagles 4.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
