Baseball Game Preview: Santee Falcons vs. Manual Arts Toilers

For the first time this season, Santee will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Manual Arts Toilers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Santee and 11 for Manual Arts dating back to last season.

Last Monday, Santee came up short against Lincoln and fell 7-4.

Santee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Valente Zuniga, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Zuniga a new career-high. Another was Fernando Silva, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Manual Arts came up short against Dr. Maya Angelou Community on Saturday, falling 15-3.

Santee's record is now 1-5. As for Manual Arts, their record now sits at 0-2.

Everything went Santee's way against Manual Arts when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Santee made off with an 11-3 win. Does Santee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Manual Arts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
