Volleyball Recap: Angleton Gets the Win

Angleton won the last time they faced Texas City and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Stingarees by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Angleton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 16-25, 25-20.

Gabby Gardner paced Angleton's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gardner got some help from Austynn Coupland and her 18 assists. Sloan Greak and Addy Robertson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with seven aces apiece.

Angleton's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Texas City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Angleton is set to challenge their familiar foe Ball at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Texas City will square off against rival Iowa Colony at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
