Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western Albemarle). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Charlottesville Black Knights on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Katherine Heilman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heilman was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ella Wagner was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Abell, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
