Softball Recap: Prince Edward County Comes Up Short

Prince Edward County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 23-0 to the Nottoway Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 back in April.

Prince Edward County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayla Killebrew, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Prince Edward County's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Nottoway, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Prince Edward County is set to face off against their familiar foe Cumberland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nottoway will challenge rival Lunenburg Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
