Basketball Recap: South Park Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Aubri Charles and Cali Fogelsonger

South Park lost against Center back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Park Burros fell to the Center Vikings 19-15.

Cali Fogelsonger and Aubri Charles certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fogelsonger posted nine points and six rebounds, while Charles had two points in addition to six boards and four steals. Charles is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Center found their leader in sophomore Emiliana Valdez, who scored nine points and six rebounds. What's more, Valdez also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024.

South Park's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Center, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-6.

South Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Center, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sargent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sargent will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Center surely won't give up without a fight.
