Volleyball Recap: Galesburg Victorious + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Galesburg rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Streator Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Silver Streaks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Galesburg took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9.

Taylor Herchenroder paced Galesburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Herchenroder got some help from Evelin Guel and her 14 assists. Taylor Adams controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The win made it two in a row for Galesburg and bumps their season record up to 15-20. As for Streator, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-17-2 record this season.

Galesburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against LaSalle-Peru on the 28th. Streator does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
