Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Richland's 18th in Last 20 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Richland had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 45-25 margin over the Copper Basin Cougars. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Copper Basin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kloie Ballew posted six points and eight boards. Ballew has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Richland is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points over those games. The loss snapped Copper Basin's winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 18-9 record.

Richland has already played their next contest, a 47-40 defeat against Greenfield on the 14th. Copper Basin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
