Softball Game Preview: Earlville Red Raiders vs. West Carroll Thunder

The Earlville Red Raiders will head out to take on the West Carroll Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. West Carroll took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Earlville, who comes in off a win.

Earlville proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Beloit, sneaking past 4-3.

Meanwhile, West Carroll lost 26-9 to Newman Central Catholic on Thursday. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Earlville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Earlville took their win against West Carroll in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 10-3. Does Earlville have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Carroll turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
